Wendy Kaszycki

Associate Vice President, Controls, Finance, & Administration
University of Southern California’s Facilities Planning and Management department.

Wendy Kaszycki has over 40 years of program, project and construction management

experience, working for the Owner, CM firm and self-performing contractor.  She is currently Associate Vice President, Controls, Finance, & Administration for the University of Southern California’s Facilities Planning and Management department.   In this role, Wendy provides leadership over project management control systems for the capital and facilities groups as well as the finance and administration for capital construction.

Wendy holds a BE in Civil Engineering from The Cooper Union, New York, and an MS in Industrial Engineering with a Management Option from the University of Houston, Texas.  Prior to coming to USC, she was Director of Project Management for the Exposition Metro Line Construction Authority responsible for all aspects of project controls and contract management for the $2.4 billion Exposition light rail transit project in Los Angeles.  Previous to that, Wendy was the Director of Project Controls with Parsons responsible for all aspects of management systems for the $19+ billion Los Angeles Unified School District’s new construction program.  She has extensive experience in contracting, construction, cost estimating, scheduling, and economic analysis and is a sought after expert in the area of construction program management information systems.

Gary Younger

Director, Program/Project Controls & IT Services
Northeastern University

Gary Younger is the Director of Program/Project Controls & IT Services within the Facilities Management unit at Northeastern University.  He has over 25 years of experience in program/project controls and during this time, has implemented and managed sophisticated project management systems for large scale capital programs with Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport), Harvard University and Northeastern University.

He has led integration initiatives for owners that align project management systems with financial accounting systems to build complete enterprise solutions for the management of capital projects. He has assembled project control teams that have successfully implemented technology to improve collaboration, process efficiency and data transparency in order to achieve excellence in project delivery.

He has chaired the Harvard University UCMC (University Construction Management Council) BIM Subcommittee which led the initiative to implement BIM in the delivery of capital projects at the University.  He is currently Vice Chair of the National Institute of Building Sciences Core BIM Requirements subcommittee that is developing the latest revision of BIM Standards for owners.

Gary has been an adjunct faculty member for the last 20 years at Wentworth Institute of Technology where he teaches courses on construction estimating, project controls and CPM (Critical Path Method) scheduling.

Gary holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and periodically is a valued guest speaker at industry events that focus on the use of technology in project delivery.
